It is definitely a safety issue. I met someone once on a different site from this before I knew it he was asking me for money giving me a sob story from hell. Got my name, address, telephone number and I even believed the sob story at one point and wired him money. Of course this led to threats and other things which I won't go into here. Don't give out personal information to anyone! The farthest I go is my email address and after months of talking on the computer maybe a phone number!

Well, first you post your profile. Most definitely put up a picture. I for one like to see who I am talking to. Next go through the matches that they send you. If someone interests you then drop them a line. If you are added to someone's friends list at least say hello how are you from time to time. then go into the Community side of things and start looking at the different forums find one or several that interests you. Post comments in the forums people like support or ideas no matter what they are. You meet people that way on here. Good Luck!

Thank you all for your insight. I was planning on taking my time. He has since deactivated his site on here. Maybe that is a blessing in disguise. I was talking to someone on here for 2 days and right away he started talking of coming to visit me, moving out to his cabin and going to Vermont for a honeymoon. When I mentioned that he was moving way to fast and that I am scared he told me "that I should think of his cabin in the boonies as a sancturary for the past, present future scars of my sordid life" He doesn't even know me. After telling him that he got ticked. I would appreciate your thoughts on this!

I agree with everyone else. I would not have allowed him to call me any names. I have went through that before, that just shows his mentallity for being 2 years old and having to call people names.

I usually stay home on New Years. I know sometimes it is a drag but in my area they are cracking down on drinking and having road blocks setup it just isn't worth it anymore.

I got one almost as good as the 2 year one Eddie. I was talking to someone in CA for 6 months. I flew out there and met him in a motel because I didn't want to go to his home.
