Real men don't need porn, and it destroys families and actually means that a man can't handle a real relationship. Pageants are cheesy and fake. Beauty should be based within, but so many are shallow, it's pathetic.

What I'm Grateful To God For

To everyone who has responded:
You have incredible things to be grateful for and :) they are all awesome. Someone also mentioned they were thankful for all those that had been in their life, or gone through it, and that's one I agree with too. Especially strangers, whom...although I didn't get to know, thought quite a lot of, for their friendliness and not being judgmental. |

I absolutely agree with that. Sadly, sometimes this site does remind me more of high school, versus adults trying to make friendships, etc.

Absolutely about the kids too!! :) Without them, I'd be a boring workaholic for sure, probably. They have kept me laughing, and mostly sane, during the roughest of times. And my mother as well.

No one said it was "instant dating", the posting remarked about trying to make friends. |

You're not the only one. It's strange. Almost as if certain people are in a clique or something, like high school. Being a free spirit and rebel, I don't follow others. Hang in there, and :) maybe you might check out other sites that are friendlier too.

For starters, a new year! And, for the positives that are happening in my life. Although dating isn't in the realm of things right now, that's fine too. As busy as things may become, dating's just not that important.

Worried Mom

My son is 20 and still a virgin. He works, but can't afford a car. There is nothing wrong with kids of this age who may be just "different" than what you think the rest of the kids his age should be like. Accept him and love him, as is. If he does get upset or angry, about anything, be there to talk to him.

EMBARRASING MOMENTS

There have been several, but one that will stick out the most is when I accidentally mooned a guy I was on a date with. It was the big mistake of wearing a thong with a short, nice dress, and when I went to leap out of his vehicle...(to get away from him as fast as I could)...the back of my dress caught on his seat and he got a free peek. Go ahead, laugh, I still do....

And absolutely do make sure to use the cream that's recommended to care for it. Some people asked me...what if you don't like your tattoo after several years? Well, they didn't know me well enough, apparently, because I still like it and always will. Nothing's gonna change that.

Well, I don't have the high tolerance for child birth and going drug free, especially since my son had to be induced. When I got my tattoo, it was nothing compared to child birth, to say the least. However, it wasn't done in a drunken stupor either, which is smart, because the bleeding is different. Listen to some good Celtic music and tune out the pain. Mine was done in my own living room.

I gave up on the mutual match part. Had tried it at first, but it doesn't go anywhere.

Another thought: get a contingency based lawyer to fight for your social security. (Which means they don't get any money unless they get the social security for you.) They do exist, and you may have to do some digging and research, but it could be well worth it in the long run.

You're not feeling sorry for yourself...you're a struggling mother and we have to fight just to try to even get a minimum wage job to support our children, which is absolutely ridiculous. Sometimes if we can shake up our lives, it can improve it. This may include getting rid of the bad people in our lives or just simply learning to not be so hard on ourselves.

My heart goes out to you, big time!! This past year was certainly one of trials and tribulations for me, and although it's not quite as severe as what you're dealing with, it's real bad, too. Anyway, I would suggest trying churches, first and foremost. Many times they can help. Next, get rid of the negative people in your life that refuse to help you. They could be preventing you from something really good happening.

At 18, you're worrying too much about something that simply isn't all that important. It would be a whole lot different if you were in your 40's and had that problem. You might want to focus on anything but dating for a while.
