I'm not sure what kind of girls you date, but I know that there are PLENTY of us out there who don't "have to" drink. I know when I do drink, socially that is, it's usually because a) I enjoy the taste of whatever's being served, and b) because I'm at a social event where I don't know a lot of people, and that little bit of a buzz helps me to be less shy and awkward, allowing me to meet a lot of really delightful people. Of course, I'm in college, so naturally there are going to be times where EVERYONE is plastered, but I feel like that's more of a passing phase than anything. After college it's called alcoholism.

Hi guys! So maybe I should explain a little before I get to my question, just to provide some context.

I'm pretty new to this whole kind of thing, and I joined this site more out of curiosity than out of an actual desire to find a relationship; I'm in college right now, so there's not exactly a shortage of dating opportunities, and I think people are absolutely fascinating, so I'm always up to find as many ways to interact with as many people as I can. I'm also a psych major, so I have a tendency to completely over-analyze things, so I might be completely off base.

That being said, it seems to me that a lot of people who are checking out my profile and trying to send me messages are not exactly in my peer group. Not that I have anything against dating people older than me, but it seems odd that a majority of the people checking out my profile are men 15-35 years older than me, and it's not the first time I've run into this problem. Is it just that there aren't too many people my age on sites like this? Am I sending the wrong message with my profile? Is it just a coincidence?

Any insight you guys could give would be greatly appreciated!
