I have seen NO videos from anonymous reporting martial law in USA.

I have seen TWICE in the last month it reported on the BBC that martial law was implemented in usa because of a possible debt crisis. I will look now to see if I can find the story as I am convinced that you would be unlikely to look it up for yourself before posting more opinions.

Bush Invaded Afghanistan and Iraq. (Hence looking for conflict) Finishing off daddys job.

lets try to stay in the present times, ok?

Sure, I think it was reported USA hit an Afghani hospital. Didnt USA pull out of Afghan years ago? No boots on the ground in Syria? Lets see how long that lasts. I think putin is doing the right thing by making it very difficult to put boots on the ground. YOU DONT NEED TO BE THERE! Get over the View of being word police, it will cause your country more harm than good.

It is good to live in the moment, but lets not forget how these things start. For me it is America's surge to create conflict in the middle east, AND at home. I bet you guys hate Islamics now, I bet there is suspicion on the streets and in your homes. How often is terrorism on the lips of the American people? Please dont forget the past, it shapes your future. Bush and his actions are certainly relevant.

In the present as I experience it I saw on our UK news that twice Obama has recently declared martial law. How do you feel about that? How will you view your freedom and what will you do if there is martial law for a whole month, what about six months? What about six years?

You are right Archer, dont look for alternative sources of information or research anything you question internally.

I hear you can get all your news from CNN and so dont even have to flick the channel.

Let what go mate? What opinion are you sticking to me? Feel free to ask an open question of my opinions before you put an assumption on me please.

We get Distorted news on the BBC over here, and rarely see Putin. I have recently watched many youtube videos from news channels such as RT and now judge Putin to be seeking cooperation rather than conflict. Use your own mind, does it not seem like Bush and Obama are the ones looking for conflict?

I invite you to watch the whole 24 minutes of this link and try to put all prejudice and preconceived ideas out of your mind. I know for Americans that ussr is the old enemy, but just hear Putins words and judge only on what you hear. ;)

Btw, do any of you watch the Anonymous vids online? Give some a quick look.

I would like to know the same thing?
I get a couple yeses on mutual meet me but no one responds back, even when I send wink no one gets back to me what's up with that?

Winks dont do it for me, im sure some ladies feel the same. I like someone to engage me in convo and so I imagine messaging more than one line works better... and if you want to just make a statement (You look nice etc..) try to end with a question ('where is the beach in your pic?', or 'it looks like you have green eyes, is that right?') so they are encouraged to respond.

When they dont message back, its because of one of the many things that makes people not bother, dont take it personally, message a few others.

I do have to say though, I get some winks and when I mail back not many follow up their wink with a message! I fail to understand this sometimes, but guess its just light flirting and they only want to hint to me im fit or something (or winked the wrong guy maybe?!?)

That link doesnt answer any of my questions.

What it does show is that the author is following scientific discoveries and trying to explain how the bible already described these discoveries. However there are a couple of problems exposed through reading that link. One is that when the bible tries to offer information which is yet to be confirmed by observation and analysis the bible/church is left looking stupid when reality proves otherwise. If you had ansered my question of when the earth was created you may have given the biblical answer of about 5000 years ago which has been completely disproved by simple observation and analysis/testing. Over time more and more lies and falsehoods are exposed from the bible, this doesnt mean god is a liar or doesnt exist, but more so that man lies for his own benefit and the bible has been embelished by greedy men.
The other problem with the link you gave is that if the bible can explain things like the big bang or multi dimensions or any other field of scientific research then why hasnt the leading thinkers of our time taken the lead from the bible regarding exploring physics or the workings of our universe? The answer lies in the same way we read nostradamus predictions. Once an event happens, we look back to texts for explanation and we look in many different ways untill we see what we want to see, never do we predict the future from these texts unless it is to predict the possible evils man is capable of, nothing specific, just possibilities. I believe the bible can teach us nothing specific about the phyisics of the universe and it is science that leads the way regarding the persuit of knowledge, not religion.

I repeat that people have to stop following blindly and open their minds to be free of a brainwashing cycle that keeps them mentally imprisioned.

I wish you well. :)

You know, when people stop thinking of the bible as just

a myth, is when people will finally begin to realize, that

the Bible has the answer to every question ever asked......

answers to questions which can be found no where else.

It's all in that book called the Bible....and many great

scientists and physicists are now finally beginning to see

this for fact.

:heart::heart::heart:

The bible DOES NOT have the answer to every question ever asked.

Question: How old is the earth? (if you prefer: When did God create the Earth?)

Question: How do we know carbon dating to be accurate?

Question: When the bible was translated, how much of the origional text was mis-interpreted and how much was delibertly left out or changed due to the corrupt desires of a few individuals?

When religious fanatics stop following blindly and use their minds they will have a chance to break the brainwashing cycle that keeps them mentally imprisioned.
:P

Hi Everyone. :)

I have found that this site is rather USA based, I have been chatting more on smooch which is also free to mail people and much more UK based. The profiles I come across on mingle tend to be mostly saying last active over a month ago (code for inactive!)

good luck with making contact people! ;)

Religion is fear based, Terrorism is fear based, so yes to the Original Question...

1. The premise is wrong. Religion is not based on fear in general and
almost half of all religious adherents have a religion which doesn't
even believe in "hell". Religion is really based on the belief in a
higher power at work in the creation and working of the world and on
a philosophical understanding of our existence, right and wrong and
truth and beauty. Some religions do have the concept of eternal
punishment but this is not the same thing as blowing people up who
disagree with you or killing people randomly without even knowing their
beliefs in order to coerce others.

2. Terrorism is blowing people up who disagree with you and killing
people randomly without even knowing their beliefs in order to coerce
others and publicize the terrorist agenda and message. Terrorism has
no component of religious thought - no concept of kindness to others,
no weighing of the morality of terrorist actions, no thought about
our common origin or value.

Rationalization of the slaughter of innocent people is not religion.
It is tragically true that much terrorism is currently based on a
misguided and misanthropic obsession with radical Islam but many
other forms of terrorism exist such as political causes, economic
missions, ecological extremists etc. It must be pointed
out that every religion teaches that terrorist tactics of killing
innocent people for any reason is morally wrong. So it is more
appropriate to say that terrorism is the OPPOSITE of religion.

Just sayin...

Im with you on this, you are clearly educated and thoughtful.

The origional question is twisted to make something seem a certain way. The author claims religion is based on fear so many readers after that statement take it to be true. I would say religion is based on belief. Terrorism is based on rebellion.

Good thought provoking post though.

Nah. Your premise is wrong. Religion in general is not based on fear
most religions do not believe in heaven and hell. Buddhism and
Hinduism, Judaism and Taoism for example do not believe in heaven and hell in these religions one is rewarded spiritually by being ethical,
just and kind.

Terrorism is the new holy war. Like the Crusades and Inquisition
except terrorism today is based on Islam. Terrorism is not a
religion itself but extortion in the name of Islam.

drinker

I like what you say, the religions you mention such as buddhism and taoism are not inflicted with a thirst for war such as christianity and islam (the crusades). They are more concerned with true spiritualism.
However, terrorism is not about islam, I am English and we have had Irish terrorists here for years. Eta was a Spanish terrorist organisation, look them up, im sure they are not islamic either. Terrorism is just war waged indirectly or covertly by a group (I may not have used the best words, but it is not face to face fighting). I would argue that alough some Islamic people may like a bit of terrorism there are surely some Islamic people who dont want to kill christians, As there are Irish who dont give a damn about what the English did 40 years ago or 200 years ago.

Are you sure you have got a famale aged 75 pregnant?

And if you are 73 then why are you asking people online how you should break the news to your parents? Also, please spell 'partner' and 'please' correctly and start your sentance with a capital letter if you seriously want us to believe your age.

I have seen it written here that the UK section is lacking in some ways.
The posts made here dont seem to be regular and Im sure more people could make the effort.

I like to go out and meet people in the real world, but these days a lot of people want to post some 'hobbies' and have others contact them without any more effort on their part. I would like to encourage people who pass through here to put in a little more effort, starting with some simple conversation.

So... come on guys and gals, try to keep this topic alive by adding any comments you like as your input will encourage others to join in. We must all be here to increase our chances of meeting new people in the hope a friendship or relationship develops from it, use your brains and realise effort = reward.

Have you read any good books recently, gone out anywhere interesting or seen something good on TV worth mentioning that is not eastenders? I have not had a TV for 2 years in November! ;)
