lack of TRUE friendship

True friends look after each other as second nature, dont do things that would harm or hurt the other,etc,,

its easy to be a true friend when we live our own lives, but when our decisions actually will affect one sharing a life with us, its hard to give up or compromise what we 'want' in consideration of what might hurt or harm them



when people loose or never had that type of true friendship, they rarely are able to maintain a marriage or any other relationship beyond the superficial attraction/courtship and fun stage.
