advantage: you're not really 'stuck' talking/entertaining that person as you would say, at a bar...you can filter out the likes/dislikes even before you meet them over the phone/email/messaging
disadvantage: the rejection feels worse when and if you don't ever get to see that person again AFTER the first meeting regardless of potential whatever...e.g. you look nothing like your picture, just worse, your personality sucks/worse than over the phone/email...i'd rather get shot down or not get looked at at a club/bar as opposed to hyping up the phone calls/emails before the first meeting only to find out that something is 'wrong' with you from that other person's point of view... i've been able to experience both the advantage/disadvantages..sucks either way when/if they're not what you're looking for...therefore moving on to the next... but i agree that you DO make a lot of friends!! hey, friends know other friends to introduce too! |
