I avoid watching much TV these days. I can sit and play Silent Hill all day, watch a random horror film and listen to metal music and still not feel as bad about the world as I do after watching reality shows.

It's not that people are actually like that either. I don't know anybody who behaves the way these people are portrayed but if you are subjected to it enough, I could see a potential for confusion. Not that I don't find some of it entertaining mind you, but it's still a bit much sometimes.

As I said, most people are quite level headed when you get to know them. The truly crazy folks are too busy trying to fight random dragons to actually audition for a TV show in the first place.
