I smoked for over 50 years and before I quit was up to 2 packs and with few beer 3 packs. Chain smoking. Finances and health drove me to see Dr and we decided to give Chamtrix (Chantrix USA) medication a try. I did not set a quit date as he recommended to avoid self-imposed stress. Told me to start with half pill twice daily. After week increased to full pill twice daily. In two weeks time I lost interest to smoke but had the habit of sucking on something for morning tea, beer etc. So added vape with no nicotine. After 18 days had my last cigarette and April 1st will be 3 years. I continued the complete 12 week course.

Side affects: For me really none to mention, except some nice weird dreams sometimes.

Pros - No morning cough, all good. I have a lot more money in my pocket. Not supporting tobacco companies or government anymore. When quit pack of large kingsize was $13.50 per pack (Canadian)

Cons - gained 17 Kg, and still fighting to lose but only be able to get a few kg off so far. Now got serious and lost 1 kg week for the last 3 weeks. Still vape from time to time - no nicotine. Pills can be pricey - think it worked out to about $3.50 per day over the 12 weeks. Damn good investment.
