I do know that whatever was done in the past ten years was already WORKING to decrease crossings and illegal immigration numbers.

Then you would be mistaken. Those numbers didn't start to decrease until January 2018.

It was an open border, where anyone was allowed in to apply...then they just disappeared into the country without showing up for their hearings.

I'm all for legal immigration but anyone going around that process would be jailed in any other country of the world. I see no good reason why we should be different in that regard.

But please....let's not hijack this thread. Start a different one and I'll look for it.

I realize that media is mischaracterizing anything Trump does, so you came by opinion honestly...

however, no LEGAL immigrants are being turned away. NONE.

The media would have you believe that the recent and current caravans are impoverished women with children trying to escape that. But the truth, as confirmed by real evidence, shows that upwards of 90% of those caravans were military aged men. Once they were confronted with following the legal procedures to enter America, they showed everyone how criminal they were by trying to go around it.

Sorry, but you've been sold a bill of goods if you think Trump wants to end all immigration. The fact is that every President since the 80s has promised to do something about our open borders and even campaigned on it. Check it out....Obama, Hillary, Bush, Clinton, Reagan....all made that same promise but Trump is the only one who has kept it.

Women want security, men want variety

Women (usually) want intimate emotional ties, while men (usually) want sexual companionship.

Women want cats, men want dogs.

I'm living the dream every musician wishes they had. It wasn't easy to get here, and it's still a bit of work. I find that most musicians only aspire to be performers and that is where they eventually fail. They want the quick money of being paid to play someone else's music.

At a young age, I realized it's about having one's own "brand' and that isn't possible being a cover band. The road to being a recording artist is lonely because no one understands when you're trying to create something that wasn't there before. They have no reference to compare. Getting gigs that pay is even harder because club owners know you need the gig more than the money.

But I did all that for decades and my path led to being signed to Sony/BMG label during the time when the biz completely fell apart (2002-2009). I was selling CDs when no one else was because I appeal to an older crowd. They call them "tapes" still. lol

One can make a very good living as an indie these days without being very famous. I'm a whale in a mud puddle, to those who like my little sub-genre. Outside of that genre, no one has ever heard of me and that's fine by me.

But the problem these days is that I have literally tens of thousands of people who love me...but not one I can hold at night.

Did you hear about the leader of the most racist fascist political party in Europe? About 5 years ago the leader of the far-right party in Hungary was demanding that Jews be registered as foreigners.

Then he found out he was Jewish. hahaha...yes, God has a sense of humor.

Now he's wrapping tefillin and the far-right party fell apart.

My family was famous for fighting the KKK in my little town. I hate those ignorant bastages.

Culture is what matters to me. We're all made in the image of God and therefore worthy of respect, dignity, love.

Besides...in the words of Birdcloud "I'm straight out of vagina". I think they're all the same color on the inside? lol

Who wants to go out?

I moved to Asheville last May and don't get home much, but when I'm there I go out EVERY day for nature, and EVERY night for live music. There is no place in the world with more options for live music so I hit 3 to 5 places per night.

The best effin' thing in America is the late night Tuesday funk jam. I dare you not to dance!?

But I hate going by myself all the time. We can make it casual friends or we can make it serious lovers...but I'm offering good company (and I'll buy) if anyone ever wants to get out.

Yes, that was a blanket date request for every girl in Asheville. Let's go.

Isn't it an option to settle somewhere and do gigs in the area mostly?

If you want to starve....

Maybe going about it this way would be helpful to you? But then of course you'd have to be interested in having a home-life as opposed to living out of a suitcase.

My situation and your friend have similarity, but there are a few large differences which I don't need to go into.

I have a place in Asheville where I call "home" and typically visit at least a few days every month. Some months I can come home a lot mid-week, if it's within a 10 hour drive of the weekend gig. I have recently been offered a job in Asheville singing in a soul band with full-time musicians...but it's a huge cut in pay to play in a cover band so I asked to only do Wednesdays until we can increase the income on weekends locally.

So yea, I'd love it if playing locally paid off....but it doesn't.

But more to the point of the OP, there has to be some very talented woman out there who wants to live on room service while seeing the world for the rest of her life.

At least that's my theory. lol

Honestly, I do think this time will be different. Only a few days was Trump's Attorney General FINALLY confirmed.

We are entering into an unprecedented time in America. There will have to be about 40,000 arrests. Obama and Hillary may be able to escape justice for their crimes, but I don't think their underlings are going to fare as well.

First of all, Denmark has a unicameral parliamentary system. The Kingdom is a parliamentary democracy, and the voters elect the parliament, which then forms the government.

The Danish are all DANES. It's a monogomous society, a lot less population, and historically a monarchy. They have "social" programs, just like America does (Social Security, Medicaid, Medicare, etc) but that's not the same as "socialism" where a small cabal of know-it-alls decide what is best for everyone else and force their idiocy upon you. Just like the weirdo chick in Congress now who wants to get rid of airplanes.

Best take her seriously....she's the new Soros candidate.

Now....to the real problem with America....your response when presented with the reason why America WAS going down the tubes is to ridicule. When given actual facts, you mock both the messenger and the truth.

Mr Boingino is a FORMER Secret Service agent. He left because Obama was sickening him. But the problem is people who don't want to know, yet go around mocking those are trying to fix it.

Those who don't know history are condemned to repeat it.

Full on Socialism destroys every nation who tries it. It is communism lite, and takes away any incentive for people to excel in life. Only the misinformed and the gullible take it seriously.

But on a different and yet related topic:

If you are confused about what is going on in America, it's really simple. The Democrat Party, with Hillary and Obama leading, have continually perpetrated fraud on America.

THIS is a secret service agent who saw it all from the inside. He explains the plan and it is the foundation of all the LIES coming from the Democrats and their media rat friends. Fake news is the most dangerous threat to America. It's completely in the back pocket of the DNC

Sales is the result of marketing and merchandising...not usually in the wheelhouse of a musician....so JZ's sales is more about the record label that raised his profile than anything, though he is incredibly talented.

in my opinion, "greatness' is about going beyond what everyone else is doing. Its about setting a new trend, creating something far ahead of other creators, that wasn't there before.

With that criteria, there have been very few "greats" in popular music of the modern era

Hank Williams
Little Richard
Chuck Berry
Buddy Holly
Chet Atkins
Elvis
The Beatles
Jimi Hendrix
Led Zepplin
Van Halen
Frank Zappa
U2
Eminem

I am a singer/songwriter/guitarist/producer that tours constantly. Was on a Sony/BMG label for 8 years and bought my way off in 2009 and produced 5 more albums since leaving them.

I travel solo, use a band for large gigs...but they have to be really great musicians before I put up with herding cats like that again.

For 17 years I was on the road 300 days of a year, got burnt out and took off most of last year. Moved from Texas to the Carolinas to be closer to most of the places I play in the USA. But dang....it gets lonely so I'm looking to form a dynamic duo.

I realize it's a long shot....but I'm looking for a girl with some life left in her that could keep up. She would sing and play an instrument OR maybe just work our merch table. I have prayed for red hair and green eyes but that's just a personal preference that isn't a deal-killer.

Anyone want to chat about it?

Perhaps the most disappointing thing when talking about religion is that every hater I've ever met was someone who formed their opinion about God/Bible/Jesus without ever really trying to understand or study it.

I totally relate since I was an atheist for half my life. They don't want to deal with any questions of morality, but rather make up their own as they go. I don't see it as my job to "correct" or judge them, but they do get angry when I mention there is a higher standard worth attaining.

Not that I've attained it. However, it does at least offer a standard that guides me through dark currents. For example....met a gorgeous girl the other night. She was an amazing dancer, and oh what a body. But when we exchanged numbers, she gave me a card that indicated she was a witch.

No matter how much I like her, our paths and expectations will never be the same.

I often wish I could jettison my faith in favor of sex with a hot woman. Surely God will forgive my moment of weakness? Yes, of course He would once I confess it was a big mistake to disobey his wise counsel. But the point of the scriptures concerning love and sex is to avoid heartache altogether. In my lifetime, I've seen a few dozen couples who (both) REALLY DID follow God's counsel. All of them still very happily married....

hey Cat....just joined and I totally relate to you giving up already. Every single message I've gotten is from fakes.

Just turned 59 (don't know how that happened?) and divorced a couple of years now. Dating ain't what it was before I got married, that's for sure.

Guess I want to chat with someone for a while, instead of trying to convince them to give me a chance only to find out its some fat guy at a computer in Ghana.

I find you quite attractive and can only assume that all the boys in Idaho are stupid.
