oh and my actual favorite band of all time is depeche mode. actually, shiny toy guns just played in gainesville a few days ago, and when we cheered them on to come back on stage for encore they played 'stripped' and i wet myself almost literally.

how metal should this metal be to be considered metal?

every once in a while, i like to hear the sound of aluminum foil. although occasionally i like to run in to a steel support beam, it makes a sweet smooth low tone.

seriously though, i guess i listen to metal, and all sorts of related, loosely or closely, things. lol actually, and i'm not sure how this will make me look in your eyes, i've been looping the dethklok album lately. but i also have some atreyu, fear factory, rammstein, and sins of thy beloved in the mix.

i think not all people have the same idea when they say metal. i tend to prefer the less brutal and more melodic, possibly symphonic, with a twist of industrial, hopefully female fronted metal. xandria, within temptation, theatre of tragedy, stream of passion, after forever and such. if you can tell, i love arjen's stuff like ambeon, ayreon, and star one as well.

Dane makes people laugh, myself included. So I don't see any reason to not like him, unless you're a comedy Nazi of some sorts.

Honestly, I think people are just nitpicking. Nobody is perfect, but Dane can be hilarious, so he's cool in my book.
