I went through something very similar happen in my former marriage, only one of the gals he cheated with wasn't my relative, but my life long childhood friend. It is a double whammy; you are really victimized twice when two people you love betray you in such a horrendous manner. I remember feeling so lost and my personal level of trust for my fellow human beings dropped to zero. Then I began to hear of all the other .....(ahem)..."ladies" he had been bedding all along. He had led a pretty unscrupulous second life. After a while my outlook changed from brokenhearted wife to BETTER HER THAN ME ex-wife. You'll get there, too. You will look back on this one day and ask yourself why you didn't kick her to the curb so much earlier. Better days will come.

I think everyone who does glamour shots comes out with pics that look eerily similar to everyone else.....hair, make-up, posture, smile, clothing........kind of floozy-esque. I hated mine. I looked 20 years older than I do sans make-up.

I don't know that a man prone to crying is necessarily a positive thing. I have dated the one on the brink of emotional fragility, and, WOW!.......What a lust kill!

I agree with Rob and Ising. Don't push it. Take it a day at a time. I felt like I had a knife in my gut for a full year. I dated, but had only because I thought it'd help me move on faster or fill the void. It didn't. Friends and family, faith, perserverence.....that's how you get through it. Learn to be comfortable in your own new self, then look for someone to fall in love with.

trust your insticts. my ex lied chronically and pathologically. I had gut feelings about it, and knew deep down he was lying and cheating, but I stayed in a state of denial until I couldn't deny it any longer. If you feel something isn't right, chances are you may be on to something.
