In my mind there is no real reason nor is there an excuse to cheat.
There's been a lot of comments about 'Not laying the pipe', but if sexual compatibility has proven to be an issue, then perhaps you need to speak to the wife in an effort to spice things up a little bit.

Perhaps introduce toys, roleplay, or drugs (we all know the ones).


If after you've tried this, and you've tried to communicate and things still aren't working, then I think divorce is the most polite way of doing this, and then, and only then once you have the final divorce papers should you move on and get a 'boy toy'.
