Why are men so incredibly attracted to masculine women like Sigourney Weaver (Alien) and Carry Anne Moss (Trinity, Matrix)?
So not just the behaviour, being all macho, but also that type of women with masculine square jaw lines, no curves, too skinny which makes their faces appear that masculine I suppose.

What is the appeal? I'd say a woman like that would make a man feel emasculated but I clearly remember how men were drooling over Sigourney Weaver when Alien first came out. I never understood, hence my question.

Also, if you find such women attractive in movies, what if you'd meet a similarly masculine looking and masculine energy woman in real life? Would you then still feel the same way and make attempts to pursue her and date her? Would you want your life partner to be that way?
Or is it just a fascination on the white screen, not something you'd wanna take home to momma?
