i wrote this while listening to the last half of layla by derek and the domino's and the song samba pa ti by santana. and to the harmony of both tunes, created a poem



I will show you the most amazing instumentals
they seem to capture this amazing, heart-felt spirit
that seems to float through the air and onto your ears
I can't quite explain...you'll know when you hear it
if you ever listen to the last half of "layla"
then you will know what I'm talking about
that is 'pure' and straight from the heart
true love is felt and makes you wan't to shout
high and low, off the balcony, and echo to the park
the dark clouds have drifted away, and as for
tommorrow, I am eagerly anticipating it
for I wan't to learn and live and see more
maybe certain things were supposed to happen
for my eyes to see everything from this perspective

prince wrote it, sinead did it then prince recorded it later on. if you're into punk check out the me first and the gimme gimme's version of it. also, stereophonics do a cool somber acoustic version of it. another good prince song is 'when u were mine' tegan and sara do a good job but the best cover and even better than the original's is crooked finger's version. cheers.
