Guys I'm new here...but if aliens walked among us, would it be like the white man walking among the American native Indians....

Whenever a superior culture meets with an inferior culture, the superior dominates....so are we aliens, sorry don't buy it...

imho, a truly 'superior' culture is the one which is self contained enough to have no need to 'dominate' anyone else,,,

But did they become the superior by domination?
As the human race has?

No. I believe if they exist they have become superior by manipulation and not by domination(at least not of the physical and aggressive kind).

Make people believe that something is good for them and you do not need to 'dominate' in the traditional sense, people will go willingly forward.

If you think about scientific, medical, and technological advances and the superior respect and trust we put in these fields as a people physical 'domination' will eventually be a thing of the past.

The medical and scientific communities work together to learn how to recreate human life without procreation as God intended. They can mutilate a Male to appear female and mutilate a female to appear like a Male.

They say cloning is a good thing to replace the sick or flawed parts of our own bodies, so we go willingly believing that is where it will stop.

They say internet is good because of how easy it is to find information and little is said about how much easier it is to find misinformation.

They say autonomous cars are safer, so we ease into the idea that giving over control is 'better' for us.

They say autonomous weapons will make for safer wars, so we ease into the idea that removing the human loss from war will only lead to bigger losses when the technology is left only to a selective few to control.

We are too easily led to need to be dominated, is my point.

My theory has always been that 'aliens' are just a future version of ourselves that has finally conquered time travel and are trying to find places in our history that we might change to correct whatever things we have ended up screwing up.

I guess that's a possibility... But the math says there is other life in the universe... Over a hundred billion galaxies with over a hundred billion stars in each... There's more stars then we have grains of sand in all our beaches....

I do believe that other forms of intelligent life exist and that they can use force to subjugate others, or they can use manipulation, or both. That's exactly what we humans have done to each other throughout the millennia and as far as some ancient history shows, it appears as if certain cultures, such as the Maya, Aztec, and Egyptian, required human sacrifices to their gods and if the so called gods from the sky actually came, to me that's proof of using both techniques to control the humans.

To me, the most fascinating story is that of the ancient Sumerians, they claim that their "gods" were from a different planet and created humans to mine gold; then an uprising occurred and we've been here ever since...then, there is much proof of ancient gold mines in South Africa...won't go to the trouble of looking up hyperlinks, just do the research yourself...

Ah, okay, got my thought back...LoL

It's primarily a New Age way of thinking....I studied it some in college where I studied philosophy some...

Like clairvoyance is the ability to see things or hear things that are just outside of what they call the "natural" realm of existence ... not like aliens or demons/angels...I once met a lady that said she was a clairvoyant and she could see and speak to animal guides and different "spiritual" beings like our dead ancestors and such...

It was sort of my introduction into my own early types of what some refer to as "psychic" connections...but some of the New Age stuff is really intresting to read about if you are open to that sort of thing. I believe that since it is proven that energy never "dies" but can be transformed into different types of energy then perhaps when our physical selves die, our consciousness, soul, whatever keeps our hearts beating when alive, ENERGY is transformed and perhaps is collected into a Universal Consciousness and that the different energies of that can visit certain people and that people can and do tap into different energy forms that usually do not vibrate in frequencies that are visible to the human eye...
your right,(true2beU)but we don't do the psychic things they get paid for what they do,you was almost there though, rofl It's called our "PSYCHE".In our body we all have key Points in are spine ,our 32nd point is the "Grace and divine source consciousness",but your right.drinks waving drinker shocked surprised

Thanks! :) It sounds a lot like chakra therapy where they do energy work with key points located down the spine and use what's called kundalini energy (not sure if I spelled that right)...I basically have a very opened heart chakra which makes me very much in tune with other people's feelings especially when they are near and I know them. I have been accused of being "too sensitive" for the really negative emotions such as anger and hate are hard for me to block...best I can do is just stay away from such people as much as possible.

I often wish I could travel back in time where pollution didn't seem to be an issue; however, the reality is each an every human civilization or tribe or cave full of neanderthals had different issues to deal with...

They never had solutions that came from within those different "governing" bodies, chiefs, or what had you that didn't result in an ending of that time frame...

The only constant in life is change. Once you have accepted that, you can either divert your energies into making it into something that you yourself have defined as "better" which someone is always going to argue with you that the old ways are better...

Or you can lay back with Shakespeare and simply enjoy the scene as acted in the play because one day your going to die and change back into whatever essence started your heart beating and then go on...

...am totally totally enjoying this philosophy section as well as the paranormal one!

The closest thing that I've ever come across that seems to resemble what the OP is saying is a philosophy/theory where there is this what some call the "Universal Mind/Consciousness" and some have labeled as "Archaic Archives" (not sure if I spelled that right, oh well)...

The philosophy is that basically ALL the thoughts or records from every human that has ever existed on the planet are all like "stored up" in something similar to all these internet "clouds" in what has that label of the "Universal Mind/Consciousness" another word for it I think is collective consciousness...a psychology guy later came up with that term...

So in this ONE huge cloud that's like a database for all human consciousness, each person on the planet that is alive today can access that collective and tap into by simply being like the OP said, "silent."

It's similar to meditation and stuff, where you empty you own mind and somehow go within your own self and then you retrieve what it is you need to know.

The OP also seems to be reiterating on the fact that our society is "fake" in that it promotes the current educational systems of learning from books and (crap trying to recall what he said for I don't know how to copy here yet)...but let me just post this much, perhaps it may clarify what he may or may not be attempting to say...his spelling errors and such make his entries a bit hard to read, no judgements placed on you there OP...I always hated learning spelling myself...

I definitely have experienced telepathy and one out of body experience first hand...one example of telepathy: my boyfriend at the time was coming up from another state to visit me. I was alone at the house waiting. I had a thought just jump into my head out of the blue "Damn! Phone's dead!" this sort of thing had happened b4 and I just knew my boyfriends cell phone was dead and he had tried to call...

Not five minutes later the phone rings, it's him telling me he's at a gas station about 20 minutes away and he's cell phone was dead and he'd be there soon. I just told him: "Yeah, I know." Some call it feminine intuition, telepathy who knows...doesn't happen to me all the time or with people I don't know and I have never thought of myself as "psychic"...but in relationships where I am really close to that special one, I will just know things when they are happening to that other person. Later, I tell them and they usually are shocked...last time it happened with a girlfriend and she was a certified psychologist who didn't believe in that stuff...until she started going out with me...changed her beliefs for sure!

I do think as far as your question of being more how'd u put it, like in tune, or with special abilities, yes I believe some people are further evolved than others, like the mutants in my favorite xmen movies. So much of our brain is supposedly not even used that it's quite possible that the few of us with these sensitivities or "powers" or "gifts" or "curses" or what ever adjective you'd like to use are simply born differently with those capabilities...
