I pull my shades to see the day,
After sleeping way past noon.
An ache inside my head was burning.

The sky was gloomy, full of grey
And I knew I'd woke too soon.
But far too late to be returning.

The night before I lay in bed,
And I thought of many things.
O' how the world is full of sorrow.

How many here still mourn their dead,
How the grip of war still clings.
How they must wait until tomorrow.

The buildings here conflict in style,
And the church bells never ring;
The statues faces full of sadness.

And no one laughs, and no one smiles.
And no one says a thing.
So nothing clears the air of madness.

Just wanted to write a quick shout out to all. Hope everyone is well.
