I try to let baseball fill the void, but even the Cubs' outstanding season this year just can't do it for me.

Anyone else experiencing the withdrawal yet?

I guess I really have nothing to complain about, since both my favorite NHL and AHL teams brought home Cups this past season.

It's still a long summer regardless.

I've been known to get sucked into the emotional eating spiral now and again (though usually only during that time of the month when I'm extra moody). I just try to limit the amount of junk food I allow myself to have. Like have a bowl of cookie dough ice cream (my weakness, for sure), then if I still feel like eating something, I go for something more healthy. Health food isn't quite as satisfying as that ice cream, but then I don't feel as guilty after the fact. I'm partial to sugar snap peas and strawberries.

Are they still the best years of your life if you spend a good majority of them in lecture halls learning about biochemistry? What's so terrible about 23, anyway?

Honestly, I've been feeling kind of old lately. I think it has something to do with my little brother recently getting his driver's license. I'm having a not-so-midlife crisis. I drove past a Chuck-E-Cheese and had this overwhelming urge to run inside and jump in the ball pit...

YES! They finally brought it back! I was lucky enough to see both my NHL and my AHL teams win championships this season. I can probably die happy now.
