"The Office". I watched it and tried to see why people like it so much. I quit watching it. Another assinine show. Not funny at all. Now "My Name is Earl", is funny. Maybe you have to work in an office to "get" it. If The Office" was on every channel, I would go to bed.

M*A*S*H ran for 11 yrs and began,in 1972, towards the end of the Vietnam war. It gave us insights as to how the soldiers dealt with the horror of war and helped the country heal. We could not have watched a series about Vietnam at the time. I think it helped us start to heal about Vietnam.

Seinfeld ran for 9 years and admittedly by the stars that it was a "show about nothing." Just what we needed at the time. It was about ordinary people living their mundane lives. We could all relate. It was very funny!

Both shows won countless awards.

Maybe you should check them out again, Lady! happy flowerforyou

Christmas movies I cannot miss during the holidays are "Miracle on 34th St".-the one with Natalie Wood and "White Christmas". "A Chistmas Story", and good old "Scrooge"!

Just don't enjoy people being mean to each other, tightwad bullies, self pity, the crying, suicidal, the bleary eyed, "seems to be drunk, but really only silly", Angel. I know it's been a mean world for a long time, but, I like to try to avoid negativity. I quit watching "It's a Wonderful Life" when i realized it always disgusted me and made me angry.

recently won $120 on the MD Multi Match Lottery drawing. I get a weekly horoscope with "lucky #'s in it and what day. That week, my lucky day was supposed to be Wednesday, so I wrote the #'s down and went and played them, among others at random. I got 4# on one line, the "lucky" numbers I played ( won $20), and 8 out of 18 numbers for $100. Had a real nice dinner out! Got a carton of cigs too. flowerforyou smokin drinker

welcome to jsh. you don't have to make up a silly topic to post, esp if you are new. just say "hi all, I'm new". See where it says "New Members Welcome Area"?
Well good luck on the site. You might want to lurk and read some forums to see what goes under what topic, etc. drinker flowerforyou smokin

I had A burmese python IT was 12 feet long 90 pounds and eat rabbits
Best snake I ever had but they are hard to to raise.

Sadly, Wisconsin winters are harsh, and my friend did'nt keep it's room warm enough and it did'nt survive.

Wow, I kept a heating pad under the aquarium Libby lived in. I also had a thermometer in there and eventually bought a warming "rock".

I had a corn snake. She was albino, so her colors were beautiful. kinda light purple with yellow patterns on her. She didn't bite. got her when she was really tiny and she never did bite. Just feed them. Leave them alone when they're shedding and you can just carry it around the rest of the time if you want. I named mine Libby, lol!! She was so tiny at first, I carried her in my top. She liked the body heat.

My work (nursing) tried to kill me. It's hard to say no to another shift, when you know your patients will suffer. I had to quit, file for disability and apply for social service benefits. I got the disability. I have a lot of pain. I live on $11084/yr. I get nothing from social services. I finally got medicare, so I don't have to worry about health insurance anymore. It costs $96.40 a month out of my check. I get housing assistance. I have a one bedroom apartment in a secure building. I am allowed to have a pet. I have a cat, because I am physically unable to walk a dog in all weather. I feel blessed to have shelter, companionship, and almost enough money for food. My Dad died Feb 23, but, I still have my mom and brothers and sisters. I wish I could help my daughter and grandchildren like I did when I was nursing, but, she understands. It's a good thing I have no inclination to "keep up with the Jones'". I will see a neurosurgeon for the multiple disc disease in my lumbar spine in April and hopefully I will get some relief from the pain I am in. Bless you all. I wish you all the health to do a job that gives you self worth.

Bring my daughter and grandchildren up here and buy them a house that no one can take away from them. All first for them.

everything men do. I have had it. I am going to be one of those old cat woman. I guess I already am. My cat is the only being I get affection from, and thats okay with me. I am not even remotely interested in a relationship. Sex is no good anymore and I have lapsed in a semi-coma as far as attempting to please someone else in a relationship. Just once, I would like someone to take care of me, the way I always have of men I cared about. I'm not holding my breath til that happens. I am done!! I never thought I would be this lazy or selfish. I'm about to hit double nickles and its just easier to hybernate in my little apartment and forget about the world! The love I have felt lately is for my daughter and grandchildren. I have a new granddaughter, Brianna Joelle, who is beautiful and 11 days old. I took them back to Manassas on Monday so the older kids, 8yrs and 6 yrs could go back to school. The only thing that gets me out of bed is the computer and the only thing that gets me out of my apartment is Dr. appointments. Oye!!

From "Sneakers"

Whistler: Fellas, Janek's little black box is on his desk between the pencil jar and the lamp.
Mother: Uh, Whistler, I hate to tell you this, but you're blind.

=-=-=-=-=-=

Mother: O.K., boss, this LTX-27 concealable mike is part of the same system that NASA used when they faked the Apollo moon landings. Yeah, the astronauts broadcast around the world from a soundstage at Norton Airforce Base in San Bernadino, California. So it worked for them, shouldn't give us too many problems.
=-=-=-=-=-=

Mother: But the key meeting took place July 3rd, 1958, when the Air Force brought the space visitor to the White House for an interview with President Eisenhower. And Ike said, "hey look, give us your technology, we'll give you all the cow lips you want."

yum, cow lips!! hahahhahahha!!

If we had landed on the moon in 1969 maybe there's an area "52" a "secret place where the president an all the people who "matter" could go if this planet gets really volitile(sp?). Lol!
