I won't begin to try to rebut such a verbose post. I'll just say that some drunks wake up one day and see the light, while others just continue down the same destructive path, a prisoner of their addiction. Fortunately, this path mercifully ends at the end of 8 years, whether or not the drunks have seen the light or not.

If you've got something stubborn like Virtumonde, it's a real pain to get rid of. I ran many Spyware/Adware scans before I finally got rid of it. Some, like Spybot, will detect it, but then don't get rid of it. Windows Defender(free) was the one that finally worked for me.
