Deb: Yes 100 KM's is 60 miles.

Betty: I crashed my car three years ago and decided to not get another one. I live in an area that has good public transportation and the buses have bike racks. Saves me lots of money.

But doesn't the GO train go to Kitchener now?? I think it does.

I think so...but I am not sure..

$12.55 one way + tax. That is a great rate from Mississauga to U of Waterloo.

I am tired Deb. I had a food show in Cockeyville MD today. I was up at 3:30 and left the house by 5 AM and didn't get home until 6 PM.

I just want to veg!!!!!!

Whoa! You gotta be beat! whoa Are you a caterer or something?
I am a food broker. I am the inbetween person for the retailer and manufacturer so I spend most of my time in grocery stores. I have done Weis and Giant stores in your area

Wow! surprised That's some job! Weis' food is good.
Yeah I represent Dietz and Watson and their salad line in the deli and we have many items in the bakery. Also their pizza program is one of my manufacturers

Wow Jayne. I think about food all the time. Do you get special discounts?

Chris avoided answeing the question if he thinks I would drive him to drink. What does that mean?scared scared I know what Tim would say.laugh ohwell

I must have missed something. I only have a drink when I am really, really, really happy. I gotta go back and read the thread.

And it is a 6 to 8 hour bike ride so I will need to unwind afterward. drinks

Do you go out riding a lot, Chris?

Almost everyday as long as there is not too much snow on the ground. Last year in Toronto we only had two snow falls all winter with no accumulation. My first winter EVER with no snow.

I try to do minimum 5 miles a day but at a very relaxing pace. Today I did about 10 miles but we use kilometers here so about 16 KM's.

I do play around in some General Topics and the Games. I think that is enough for me. I spent too many years in politics seeing everyone fighting against something and building walls while I tried to build bridges. I totally failed so I quit.

I haven't been in Games yet. I'll have to try it. I wouldn't want to be around a lot of fighting & arguing after a day on the puter.

The word games is mostly just mindless fun. A good time waster.

Bursitis is no fun. Visiting a friend tomorrow is always good however.

Betty is gonna buy me a coffee the next time I get out to her neighborhood. Thinking I might try and convince one of my friends to go for an overnight bike ride and pitch a tent somewhere.

Gee Chris...maybe I will even spring for lunch laugh laugh

I'm coming!!!!!! laugh

Alright:banana:   Its a party.bigsmile

Maybe I will even have a beer or a glass of wine. Really let go. Ha, ha.

Ok, Chris. Nuff of that! laugh

I so rarely ever have a drink anymore and when I do I am such a cheap drunk. One glass and I feel just fine.

I haven't been on here too much this week and when I have, I got myself sucked into going in the political forums. I said I wasn't going to do that either so today, I set my filter so that I don't see any of those threads anymore. Yea me.

So much negativity in there something I just don't want anymore.

How do you set filters for threads? what

While in the Community portal, go into Settings and click on the boxes of threads you want or don't want to see.

Last year I worked security at the parking lot and walked around as a designated ambassador, answering questions for tourists or whomever while handing out schedules and the like.
Not sure what I will be doing this year, I let the organizers put me where they need me.

I would love to visit Waterloo again one day. I used to visit an old buddy of mine with my fiancee back in the late 80's. I don't remember too much about it because I was always drunk then. I do remember I liked the restaurants through the tri-city region and buying fresh foods from the Mennonite community.

I am like that for the most part. No community events in my 'hood this weekend. The next one is not until August 21st weekend. Buskerfest, which I am volunteering my time again. This is a weekend of street performers doing there thing all along the Lakeshore in Port Credit. It is getting bigger and better each year.

It was a nice day. I took it as a sign to go on another long bike ride. Did close to 25 km's again. I should get a speedometer to track all this stuff for fun.

No plans for the weekend, it should be very, very boring so I will work here at home. How about you? What is happening in Waterloo area?
