Cheating in a relationship

I had a friend in the same situation. But man to man he talked with me. He claimed he still loved his spouse and didn't want to leave her. I knew both the man and the woman and saw how they interacted. They got along very well. According to my friend, their only problem was sexual. They had absolutely no sex life and hadn't had any for years. He said he discussed it with her several times but nothing ever changed. he said he did things to gratify her but there was never any reciprocity. Personally, I don't know how you deal with that.
His wife never cheated on him, the best to his knowledge, therefore she believed he should always be faithful to her in spite of the lack of sex. He decided to get some sexual gratification on the side and not tell her. It might be a matter of character that he cheated on her, but I think it's also a matter of character that his spouse refused to take care of him. So, I really can't judge him. All of this being said; this situation IS NOT a common scenario. In the majority of cheating situations, whether it be the man or the woman they cheat simply because they want too. Men have not cornered the market on cheating. Women do it too. The real problem within our society today is that sex has become a god to too many people. |
