Thank you everyone for welcoming me to mingle

I am new to this site and what i found is that a lot of people like this one over the rest. I have tried the other sites only to answer a lot of stupid questions. I joined really to meet new people. i am very shy when going out. I not your normal person you would find jumping from bar to bar, i hate the bar scenes. I trying a new approach in looking for new friends and maybe more. I live in SW Florida area(Ft Myers to Sarasota )hoping to find a few new friends. I am a 40 yrs old and have a great outlook in life. I have my goals and priorities in the right order. I just hopeing someday I will find the special person to share it with. So if anyone is interested in haveing a new friend and would like to talk on the computer sometime just drop a line in my direction.

I been through a lot in the past few years. I went through a break up that left me very hurt. I trying to move on but just really affraid of getting hurt again. I am at the point in life where i want to share it the special somebody. I not a person who like to go to the bars looking for that person. Does anyone have any idae where to begin to look?
