I never really had a problem dealing with man-woman roles in a homesteading aspect. (yes, I've bought feminine products before, and not just tampons)

My biggest hurdle is the emotional rollercoaster some women expect.
THat Lifetime movie is not gunna touch me no matter how hard I try.
But, a quad-engine super tractor that blows a clutch or scatters a rear end, well, that'll bring a tear to my eye.

I recall getting that ole hairy eyeball if I was supposed to be sad but wasn't. Meh, the kid beat up another kid in school and got in trouble...so? Did the other kid deserve it?

There is one kitchen thing that always gets me in trouble.
When I see poisonous green peppers in the fridge I immediately throw them out the window. Red, Yellow, even purple peppers are okay, never green! The look, smell and {{eurgh}}, taste poisonous.

I love fried mushrooms, the X hated them. I went 25 years without my fried mushrooms to keep the peace. You would think that I would get some credit on the green pepper thing.

It is the main reason I am single. Most refuse to wait.

SECOND: Have you locked your keys in the car?

Does your car have remote keyless entry? This may come in handy someday.

Good reason to own a cell phone: If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call someone at home on their mobile phone from your cell phone.

Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the mobile phone on their end. Your car will unlock.

Saves someone from having to drive your keys to you.

Distance is no object. You could be hundreds of miles away, and if you can reach someone who has the other ' remote ' for your car, you can unlock the doors (or the trunk)...

FOURTH: How to disable a STOLEN mobile phone?

To check your Mobile phone ' s serial number, key in the following digits on your phone: * # 0 6 #

A 15 digit code will appear on the screen. This number is unique to your handset..

Write it down and keep it somewhere safe. When your phone get stolen, you can phone your service provider and give them this code. They will then be able to block your handset so even if the thief changes the SIM card, your phone will be totally useless.



You probably won ' t get your phone back, but at least you know that whoever stole it can ' t use/sell it either. If everybody does this, there would be no point in people stealing mobile phones.


FIFTH : ATM - PIN Number Reversal - Good to Know

If you should ever be forced by a robber to withdraw money from an ATM machine, you can

notify the police by entering your PIN # in reverse. For example, if your pin number is 1234,

then you would put in 4321.

The ATM system recognizes that your PIN number is backwards from the ATM card you placed in the machine. The machine will still give you the money you requested, but unknown to the robber, the police will be immediately dispatched to the location.

Here's a hint. i was at the store the other day and was at the self checkout. Another couple was there and after they got their food, he walks out to the truck and starts it. meanwhile inside, guess who gets to carryout the big back of groceries. What's wrong with this picture?

For those of you that are clueless and dont know the answer. One, he didnt open the truck door for her and two, he didnt carry the groceries to the truck and load them in.
