We have to trust that God knows our hopes and needs. He is faithful!

It kind of limits the dating pool! But yes, without God at the center of each others life, it is impossible to form a deep, lasting relationship.
The number one obstacle is a lack of fellowship. That alone will eventually drive them apart.

Be not unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship has light with darkness...

I recently met an amazing young lady. She's fun to be with and has all of the same interests. However, she doesn't know the Lord. I had to tell her, before things got too far, that I just can't go any further.
I shared the gospel with her, and she was asking the right questions, but even if she were to get saved today, we would be so far apart in spiritual knowledge and maturity that I just couldn't see a future for us. It's sad but just part of who we are as believers.

Not the first and probably not the last either!
