See spirits? Not so sure. Sense them in other ways? More likely.

Just as birds can sense which way is north, feline and canine eyes evolved as they needed to in order to become more effective hunters and to spot possible threats, but I don't think they can see spirits anymore than humans can see a flavor.

Though, the fact that they can see UV light does open up possibilities and create more questions. Maybe there's another kind of life we cant see. Maybe some people have a latent ability to see UV light as well that only works part of the time and they think that they're seeing ghosts.

Only time will tell.

On a serious note though I just see this as another reason to get the government out of schools.
