A true gentleman is not a man who will never make you cry, rather a man who will break his back to never do it again. A gentleman treats his woman like a lady, but also realizes she is an individual with her own thoughts and feelings. A man who isn't afraid to still open the car door, pull a chair out for a lady, and give up his warm coat to make sure his woman is warm. Most importantly a true gentleman will do whatever it takes to provide for his family, and give his own life to keep them safe.
