Before someone sends the yakuza after me I'd like to apologise in advance if I am going to offend some people. I want to know why are Japanese people so darn vague? I've noticed how whenever a person "tries" to start a conversation with both Japanese men and women, you seldomly get a straight answer from them. Some specifics would help. Is English the first language of the Japanese you refer to? Also they may not have a solid grasp of American slang. I agree with Igor also, people from different cultures can have different conversations patterns & styles. just a few thoughts |

I agree with everything you said there Hates I would only add a qualifier that many times 'agendas' are necessary and focused goals, and that at any time there are several that serve to uplift some of those at the bottom and indirectly lift everyone else with them...

Ox Bow Incident Exactly right. Plus death penalty does little to deter crime. thank you. supposedly it saves money though. 
haven;t there been some really sickening incidents lately with executions gone wrong? I do not know the details because I can;t stand to read them. Also, some delays are not only due to appeal tho' that is probably the biggest reason. There have been issues with waiting for the drugs, again not aware of the exact detail or drugs they were waiting for. |

cute group you've got there Harmony....race based groups of any color are unattractive. Hate comes in no good color. I frankly do not know of any white people who would support the agendas in that picture you posted. Haters are haters. A lot of them actually align with the Nationalist/Socialist party. And we all know what that is. the photo is an example of how easy it is to find independently created memes on the internet, like the one posted about democrats on page 2 The two major political parties in the US are Democrat or Republican We have nothing like a socialist party, the country is much too catered to corporations and the rich I have yet to see a candidate for the Nationalist/Socialist party on any ballot, and I have been voting for 32 years,,, right, I don;t think they could get on the ballot. The lunatic fringe {as in the pink floyd song} therefore has to TRY align itself with a legitimate party, or at least try to do so with it's more centric members to try to seem more "legit." Neither party can help who tries to glean an affiliation. Both parties would do well to distance themselves from groups with a race based agenda. Our political parties attempt to represent all Americans as much as possible so divisive racial idealogies have no place in government in this country. Those types of groups can go bite the big one as far as I am concerned. Traditionally, the Repubs wanted smaller gov't and the dems a larger admin. Bickering over the cost of government & allocations is really the divide, IMO. |

Hey, it's better than the media. 
well said! the boards give a much better glimpse of what people really think, especially if you read them consistently [not necessarily frequently]
Otherwise for straight news I think it's best to go to a service like NPR or Reuters, BBC JMHO I hear a lot of frustration with how the media reports the news on the boards, actually. As far as celebrities speaking out. I don't have a problem with it, but it does not effect my political opinion. I think celebrities can do a lot of good as spokespersons for various causes. I agree w/ Harvey, tho', like him or not Trump is trying for the most part to stick as close to the agenda that got him elected as he can. |
