Strength training. Basic barbell lifts. Especially squats, but also deadlift, bench press, and overhead press. As older folk have accumulated insults to their mortal coils, some movements may need modification or elimination. Add cleans for the more vigorous.
Stronger people live longer, happier lives. Strength is hard to gain and easy to lose. Lifting a broomstick is better than not lifting a broomstick. The mentioned movements allow one to stand, pick things up, push things away, and get things over your head. |
