First look at yourself and what is your standing! Do you meet the requirement of the standard of man you want. Looks, a nice smile, long glossy hair with fine teeth even good education is not enough.
The trouble with most of us is that we're looking for the wrong thing in a person. Society has prescribed in our minds thing which have no aspect of who, in ourselves, really are, so that's the answer to your question. Find out that person, what makes the manner of their personality. A good way to start this is by viewing yourself in a full length mirror, completely naked. See how long you can do this (not as easy as you think) Over a period of time there will be revelations that you would never have never imagined, give yourself a overhaul and remove that essence of that ego responsible for narcissism, however small...then you will meet the man of your dreams and I can guarantee it will be somebody that you would never had given the chance before.
