also the biggest thing i have learned by working at a gym for 13 years has been through obeservation. You can clearly see the difference in persons no matter what age level that has maintained some level of activity there whole lives, against those who havent. Not saying these people are out running marathons etc, but they have maintained some activity in life. It makes for a better quality of life as we age.

I am a trainer at a gym and i always tell people to enjoy excerise, if you dont enjoy it you will not stick to it and the most important part of any excerise is the longevity. you cant work out for two months than not for years, so find something you like and stick with it. excerise does get boring so hopefully you are in an area that can offer a range of excerises or classes.
