The Smiths...

So, The Smiths is great. I was listening to them once in the player at work and when asked what we were listening to I responded, "The greatest band to ever play music, ever," which, I realized quickly, wasn't quite an exaggeration. Of course, I don't think my boss much appreciated Morrissey's views on his jobs. Or, you know, "I was looking for a job and then I found a job and heaven knows I'm miserable now" And later on: "In my life why do I smile at people who I'd much rather kick in the eye?" |

Giant Steps by John Coltrane

I've been really high on this album recently. It's fantastic by all accounts. It's the only thing I've heard from Coltrane, and my first endeavor into classic jazz, and I'm very pleased with it.
