We all know that the government is suppose to be working for us. But as technology has increased, it seems that they have decided their jobs are to watch more and more of our public and private lives. I think we the people who truly work for us should do what we actually hire them to do. Like streamline all phases of government work in order to keep the cost down. I also believe the Highest leaders of these governments be watched 24 hours a day seven days a week until they complete their term. This should immediately cut out a huge part of backdoor deals in which all politicians partake in. There also needs to be a finite limit on how many laws need to written. Just as a guess, I would say anymore than 1000 laws would be too many. As of now, there are well over 20,000 laws in the state of Texas alone. And when these laws are written, they are written in such a way that only lawyers can properly translate them. These can not be followed by the common man if he cannot understand what they say. And then of course there is always a loophole left in. I believe every law should be stated as simple as possible, and once enacted, have no wriggle room. Once the laws make sense, the easier they are to abide by. These are just the first of my ramblings, and feel free to offer more. Remember, the government works for us. We do no work for them.
