I have told her of the things that can and do happen. Just recently we had a woman murdered from a meeting she had online. Just this week actually. She is young and stubborn. You know....she is a teenager. She knows everything. Kat If you have told her the pitfalls and that she is not presenting herself in an appropriate manner and she continues to ignore you. Then her parent should be told they need to monitor her on this site. If they want details tell to get on there and look for them selves. |

My granddaughter has a myspace (lives with me) and her dad and mom and myself have access to it or she wouldn't have it. Not only do these girls act like it's their god given right to have it, but also that no one should be able to look at it except their friends . WRONG! My computer, my house, my rules.

The Tao teaches us that we are all three people . The way others see us , The way we see ourselves and who we really are.. The trick is to let those three become one ... other than that my fung shui is funged up ,,,, I can't follow anyone else's script and sometimes I think that expectations get in the way .... just food for thought... 
Food indeed! My sentiments exactly. Not an easy task at that, but one that can certainly be undertaken with gusto and if you keep going forward with sooner or later have you all lost.

Hey Joni! I think the problem is that people use the Internet as an insulator for their shortcomings, furthering the problem that they don't know who they are in the first place, much less what their shortcomings even are. Of course, not everyone... but good men are like plane crashes.. you rarely hear abuot the ones that land safely, if at all. I want the plane crash, not the car wreck. And if I have to be single from now on then that's the way it goes

Lex - can I ask for clarification on this? How fake are we talking? As in, married not single? Jobless, not employed? Or more subtle ..people who claim to be easy going and then bite off the server's head because the coffee was cold? Or was it more like, male, not female? How far gone were they? Not to answer for Lex- who I adore in any way I can interact with him (love you lex  ) but I met three people before Jist... who by the way is far better in person than here on the site.... funnier, sexier, more sarcastic...
The three prior were a mix.. one was married, one was boring, and to be totally honest the third I can't remember... not his name, not where we went, it's like he was wiped from my memory banks... Hi Lilith!  I think most people are different in person then they are on here. Like lilith says they can be better or just not as confident to be the personality the were on internet.
