I love sharks. They're so much like me. They don't really ever sleep.

"The ocean is full of things that would like to kill you, and other things that would ignore or not understand you, and then eventually kill you... because they do not have the same understanding or valuation of life and death as humans.

There are still other things that you would probably kill simply because you think they are beautiful, and you want to possess beautiful things because you believe that beauty and sentience are mutually exclusive." - Joseph Fink

How do you feel your desire to possess something or someone has impacted your interpersonal relationships?

Any thoughts on the quote?

Damnit, what the hell movie is this from?!

It's some French film and I saw it at the Detroit Institute of Arts with this blonde girl I met at a coffee shop. Something along the lines of "Disgusting" or something. This is going to drive me mad.

Lifestyle obsession over anything becomes boring.

And I actually like Rites of Spring.

Wait... so are we talking about a world where other people have superpowers too? Because if I'm the only person with superpowers then I'd have to go with Professor Xavier, Wolverine, or Spider-Man.

But, I mean, the moment you whip out the claws or the webbing then everyone's going to trip and capture you and do awful things to you.

If we're talking about a world where a bunch of other people have powers then I'd probably pick Cable or Magneto.

I think about these things.

I maintain that you don't know yourself until you're all alone, and you don't really know someone until you have to live with them, in one sense or another.

Whatever you think of the person you're talking to online, remember that this person has had their entire lifetime expressed through actions as well as words, and until you see how someone acts, knowingly or unconsciously, you have no idea who they really are.

This comes from someone that has met people from the internet, dated them, and even lived with them (yeah, long distance included).

Isn't it true that. We control our own emotions? (In reference you guys that think that statement is false),it's the same as saying someone make you mad,but in reality,YOU chose to get mad based on what they said or done, just my opinion! drinker

Cheers.

Besides, self-awareness is pretty much the personal path to any emotion, and being that all emotions are temporal one could say that only you can force yourself to feel anything.

If I lived life thinking that today would be my last... that would be utter chaos. Better to that I'd say live each day as if you've got a 50/50 shot.

The most fulfilling relationships for me are the ones that involve a lot of moments akin to skipping work, not sitting in stasis under energy-efficient halogen dampers or in some halcyon daze.

poison the children as they come
numb, sweet voices fill the room and
all that aches us takes the fun
from off the scalped and battered faces
losing the chase to break the fall
oh, so happy, aren't we all and
everything is six shots deep
tomorrow's pain is one night's sleep

poison the children as they go
strychnine strips my weak, old soul
sinking sick lines in the pond
so fond of not growing old

we were once and once again
i'll pretend we left as friends
and nothing burns high as the sun
but i'll test the spoon before it runs
leave to me your angry answers
dancers in their sweet discordant
movements that seemed more important
the skull shoots 'cross these bones like guns

poison the children for their sins
lick the lips of silver winds
and keep the fire fraught with sweet
remembrances of some long, lost kin
meet your taker with a grin
eat the sheets your heart sank in
and rank the pain from one to then
until there's none left for your friends
