What Greeneyedlady said! Do everything you can to make your body healthy and most of the symptoms of mental illness will disappear. Lots of veggies and water in your diet, limit processed foods, no stimulants [especially caffeine and alcohol] or pills and lots of sleep. Why wouldn't anybody want to do this?

I was depressed too. I found that the biggest single thing I did was to stop having anything with caffeine in it. From there I decided that our emotions and mental well-being are inextricably linked to our physical health. Cut out all pills, drugs, stimulants, get lots of water and sleep and you'll never look back.
