i believe "art form" is a more than slightly ridiculous allusion to sex.

there are two reasons we ****, the first being the gratification of one's self. (and if they're lucky enough, the sexual partner as well.) the second, the base instinct; the need to feel and live, if for a moment, on a plane higher than typical existence. regardless of personal definition, intimacy awakens parts of all that were not previously existing.
