I enjoy winter...that is why I live here, and not there.
Cold and snow is fine....I wouldn't mind skipping the ice storms, however 
And hearing about what is going on in California right now, makes me really grateful to be where I am...

Well thats good Jan. good news about your dad, glad he can come home.He will be far more comfortable at home for sure. \ We have had very little snow so far and the temps. have been pretty decent to.Very odd for a Canadian winter, but I'll take it!
Perhaps your weather went south for the winter this year....it certainly appears that way!

Just finished a 2 day class for a required certification for work. That's why I disappeared last nite...I had homework 
My dad will be released from the hospital tomorrow, and I have made arrangements for him to be able to go home.. I haven't been able to avoid the snow and ice, because I have to get out to go to work. Sometimes it's an adventure to do that
Life is good. I haven't missed any work, I haven't been sick, haven't been in an accident, and the kids are good too....

I have mulled over this question since you posted the thread.... the operative question being, "What is of true importance to you?" And after much consideration....have realized that there is only one thing of importance. When I meet Jesus, face to face, I want Him to greet me with "Well done, good and faithful servant." If this occurs, then all the years I have spent on the planet will have been truly productive. If it does not, then all my efforts would have been in vain....for His plan for me is oh, so much more important than any desires I might have had. If I am obedient to His Will, then any results will be greater than anything I could desire on my own. |

I have a question about meatlosf... If you are invited to dinner, and there are 4 items served, one of which is meatloaf, and your only comment on the dinner is, "You can't go wrong with meatloaf." ... What does that mean? is it a complement or an insult? Just wondering...because the dinner took 4 hours to prepare, and the meatloaf was the easy part... |
