I understand where you are coming from Crystal, and I had the same issues. Like you I don’t believe in diets or counting calories etc as a balanced diet and exercise should keep us on the right path. I have a sweet tooth so I started keeping in lots of fresh fruit and low calorie yoghurt so I could get my ‘sweet’ fix, I also keep in lots of salad, which is obviously great at this time of year. I have managed to lose the few pounds I put on during lockdown, and that has made me feel more motivated and determined to carry on. I have also swapped to skimmed milk and decaf coffee and tea.

Cafeine does have the property to augment the speed of burning ATP in the muscles. (Seems to be a cathalyser in that respect) In other words: cafeine helps augmenting prestations (like in running) and slimming down. Therefore, there is no need to decaf anything. :-)
