I am a nurse. I have worked in the health care field since I was only 16
years old.....a whole other lifetime ago! Why do I work in that field? I
have asked myself that same question a million times.... but I must like
it or I would have gotten out a long time ago. I think it's because when
you are holding the hand of someone who has been in this world for 80 to
100 years, outlived many of their family, and who has no one, and they
look into your eyes and say, "I love you", it seems to make all the
differance in the world. Even though the stress is high, the pay is low
and the work is hard. I wouldn't trade it for any other job in the
world.

I went to school at South City High School, but I moved after my Junior
year to San Jose'. Didnt like it there at all. No Offense to anyone from
San Jose'! To make a long story short, I ended up here in Missouri where
I have been since September 1978. I guess that makes me a Native huh?

And just where did you go to school?

I was born in OC. Lived in OC most of my life. Now I am in SE Missouri.
Wont go back to OC No offense, just isnt the same is all. AND don't want
to raise my kids there. I prefer the small town life.

Howdy ya'll, anyone on this site that may have graduated from South San
Fransisco High School in 1975? I probably know you. I was born and
raised in CA. Bay Area. Of course I have been in Missouri for so long
now I am practically a native. wOULD love to find anyone who may
remember the good old daze!

I disagree, to a point. Take this site for instance. Everyone here has a
chance to talk about "things", "topics", and have "discussions". Just
because someone is talking to people, like we are right now, doesn't
mean they are looking for someone else. Right? Also I am sure that all
of you, if you are honest, will agree that you have people on line that
you have talked to for a VERY long time. They have become a type of
internet friends, or confidants if you will. We can talk to our internet
friends more freely sometimes than we can our best buddy. Think about
it...... I have people that I have talked to since I got this computer,
and that was at least a hundred years ago! (or so it seems at times).
