Well a big part of it has to do with the genetic makeup of men and their hormones. Then you have society showing men to be the dominant one, so you get guys who go too fast in a convo. I prefer to get to know the girl and if i feel a vibe then perhaps I will throw out a sexual related comment. If the guys were actually smart, they'd know a girl is more likely to send sexual pics, or whatever it may be, but AFTER the girl trusts him!
