Think this is the norm.

So why does it have to be a battle of who does what first? Why can't the man always "pick up the towel" and the woman always " give him attention"? Somebody had to stop doing something first. He either started leaving the towel on the floor which she resented or she stopped paying attention to him which he resented. So, as in all conflicts, someone started it.

If you leave the towel on the floor and I let you know it bothers me and you continue to do it, are you not showing that you don't care about my feelings? As a woman, who is an emotional being, I have now lost the desire or interest in being loving towards you. Any affection would be a lie. Now instead of realizing that picking up the towel will bring back love and affection, you turn to another woman for that attention. A relationship is over and we end up divorced. You should have picked up the towel when I told you it bothered me.

of course we are not monkeys and this IS amrerica; a country where people can adopt societal practices as they individually choose as long as they choose within the law. who are you to decide that "it's time the male and female whores come to terms" with anything? like you said, "this is america". well is it?

passing fad? whoring around has been the norm since the dawn of man. sure you can say in this country our mothers and fathers whored around less than we do today. you can say courting was once popular in this country or that society. but instinctively humans have always whored around and that has not and will not change with regards to the population in general.

courting in saudi arabia??? give me a break. marriages are decided upon by the parents in many muslim countries and always has been. once again we americans think that we reside in the center of the universe when we number but five percent of the people on the planet. get out and use those air miles folks. there's a world out there to explore.

I think I have it figured out. I have noticed such a change in men of all ages since I was dating a hundred years ago. Somewhere along the line women in general, NOT ALL, but some became loose and trampy. They started giving it away and exposing things that used to be a mysterious treat. If the sign in the candy store says, "FREE CANDY" then candy becomes no big deal. Men, for the most part, have this aloof attitude because if the woman chooses to be lady-like(remember that term?) the man knows he can go a block and a half down the road and get whatever he wants, not thinking about any kind of future for himself.
Do we blame womens' liberation, the nothing is obscene law, pornography?
