"You Smell That?"
Never felt refrigeration Even bent on termination Can it ever really last Rotting still, while breezes pass Out of light, or underground Turning dark, then bloodless bound It's headed straight for dessication Cause it's just too late for regeneration |

I don't like to disagree with Rob, and everybody. I didn't read twenty five of his books, only a few. But he was in no sense a nihilist. He was an early proponent of the differences and reconciliation of Western and Eastern philosophy, particularly Zen, "The Way of Zen" which I did manage. He did adhere to the doctrine of material impermanence and illusion as with the doctrine of "maya" in Buddhist and Hindu thought, but he was an early proponent of ecological awareness, and stressed the importance of social ethical awareness. He was one of my favorites at the time also.

I don't know how famous he is, but mine is from William S. Burroughs. He's in the class of writers as Allen Ginsberg and Keuorac(sp?) "Today's battlelines and wild frontiers are tomarrows supermarkets and shopping malls. Time and Banality strike the hardest blows." He was real famous Fusion. He had a small roll in a good movie made in 1989 with Matt Dillon and Kelly Lynch called "Drugstore Cowboy." Here's a link to a short look at Burroughs in the movie. I don't know if they allow links to go through, but you can copy and paste it into your browser: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DnjiZ58WgXUinks Flatline |

Reality outstrips fantasy precisely because fantasy is bound by our imagination, while reality is not.
Flatline "Every breath you take is a prayer . . .; as a matter of fact, breathing is about the best prayer you got going for you." Byron Smith, a friend "I took the Evelyn Wood reading course and read the entire text of War and Peace in one night. It was about Russia." Woody Allen When Grouch Marx was asked why he belonged to no fraternal groups or clubs, which were a staple of social life in his time, he replied: "I would never belong to any organization that would allow me as a member." Woody Allen from his movie--contemporarily set--remake of "A Midsummer Night's Dream": "I've invented a machine that will cleanly and completely takes the bones out of a fish ... and though it would make no sense whatsoever, it would of course put the bones back into a fish" |

If a man speaks in the forest and a woman is not there to hear.....is he still wrong? That's excellent. I was watching a standup on TV last nigh and he was commenting on the advantages of gay marriage. "At least when I said something to my partner," he said, "it would actually be interpreted as what I said." I'm quoting, I'm not a misogi . . . massagein ...; I mean I have nothing against women. Free Will.vsDeterminism V2.0
|
|
Free will does not exist(factual basis in actuality), and neither does determinism. I think the debate itself has no practical use. How can one debate two different and opposing illusions of personal reality? (lotus position Smiley here) As usual, good early answer Creative! I mainly agree because I can't help it. Reminds me though of some 18th or 19th century--I'm not googlin' it--who was a materialist, but found room for free will in the complexity of the human machine, that is, with so many gears, there would be slippage which would offer us the chance to make a choice now and then. I never gave him much more thought until time passed and I began working more with computers, and helping people with computers. One of the most common things I hear is: "It was working fine yesterday, but today it's different." So that philosopher's point seems to make more sense now. And then there is "spontaneous repair" my favorite computer work. Flatline |

SEX OVER FIFFTY

I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF IT IS TRUE WOMEN OVER FIFTY DONT LIKE SEX ANY MORE they are insatiable they have the equivalant sex drive of an 18 year old male thank god for little blue pills (Thumbs-up Smiley here) I agree about the pills Qman, thanks for speaking up. We take pills for sore muscles, headaches, etc., and the last time I checked women were still benefitting from estrogen therapy from diminishing chemical levels, and I think the little blue pill falls into that category. Although mine are larger and more blimp shaped--unless you are referring to valium which really doesn't seem to work for me in that respect. Flat |

PC reboots on it's own

Most PC's bios has a thermal reading, if you can get into the bios, usually by pressing delete or f-10 then you can see if the processor is overheating, or take the side cover off (if it's a tower and not a laptop) and look inside to see if all the fans are spinning. if the biggest one on the mainboard is not spinning it's getting hot. If they are all spinning, I would guess regestry is corrupt or another piece of hardware is causing it. Time for geek squad. Hope you luck..all the best... Good Answers! (Thumbs-up Smiley here) It certainly can be hardware, even a loose card will sometimes cause it, or currupt system files, along with corrupt registry. |

I guess because it didn't go down well Try again and if making a joke make sure it is neutral No the posts will remain unless you deactivate (I think) Thanks Robert, it's not that. I don't like it. If I could think better I believe things would work out better for me. |

I am still as rampant as I was when 18 I say no more on that Me too!! No Viagra crap Or vitamins Or herbs Or lotions Or potions I'm as horny now as I was when I was 18 Him too!!! I agree totally. My gal is a horny as she was at 18-I have no way of knowing if she is a horny as Gosipmpm at 18, but I appreciate the sentiment. But I do believe in vitamins, generally, lotions when and where they are desired, and a splash of quality tequila. |

I have found that 50+ men are not interested in women their age. Look some more, and you'll find different. I'm 61, and my girlfried-yeah I call her that and she's 58-have a great time. I'd be lonlier without a woman to laugh with, and do other stuff with. I went on a CA Sierra Club hike today and there was a great guy in his seventies. His first wife died of cancer a few years ago after a long and great marriage. His new wife is 11 years younger than he is. Next week they are going to begin tango lessons in preparation for a trip to Argintina. I don't think older guys are afraid to commit, they just don't want to talk about it all the time. Good luck, and look for someone you can have some fun with. |
