Having been in an unhappy marriage for many years, I got use to being independent. Now that my sons are off on their own, I have to time to just think about what I want. I enjoy my alone time and when I feel lonely I call a friend and get out of the house.

I have not dated a lot since my divorce. I do not feel the need to be in a relationship but I still hope that I meet the one I could spend the rest of my life with. The men I have dated I am still in contact with. Although it wasn't the right fit they are still great guys and I am happy to have them in my life.

So the problem for me is that I need the man who I enjoy spending time with and makes me excited just by walking in the room. But he also has to have his own life and like doing his own thing and understands that a relationship does not mean being together all the time.

Saying and hearing "I love you" is always wonderful but it is the little things that say it the best. Listening and comforting him when he is having a bad day, rearranging your busy schedule so you can be there for an event that is important to him, running him to the doctor when he feels to sick to drive, making his favorite cookies or dessert for no reason except that it's his favorite. Words are easy but giving of yourself and your time says that you really put him first.

I am so sorry I missed it! You are one of the sweetest, caring people I know here and I am so proud that you are my close friend. I wish you all good things in this coming year and always because no one deserves it more!

I am just as disgusted with what some priests have done to these young boys as you are and how it have been covered up by the Church. However, I have known some truly wonderful and caring priests in my lifetime who were there only to help and guide their parishioners. Please don't condemn all for the acts of some. That would be like me saying I have met a couple Texans that were crooks and deadbeats so all Texans must be crooks and deadbeats. It's just not true!

You can't start out in a relationship because a relationship is something we build. You can start out with an attraction and I guess it depends on what the two people are looking for whether it turns into a serious relationship or a NSA relationship. If you are not looking for a serious relationship then it is best to make that clear from the beginning
