I probably wouldn't relocate until my son graduates from HS which is 5 more years and even then, I have a great job which doesn't transfer and I live it a beautiful state so it's doubtful... I'd love to "retire" to another state though...

So you would wait 5 years being "single" (that is if you have not found anyone locally) before looking outside of your area?

I am moving from Scotland to England to be with the man i love.

It wasnt an easy decision, and im still a bit nervous about it, but the way i see it, home is where the heart is, my heart is with Dan, and it makes more financial sense for me to move to him than for him to move to me. Lots of things had to be considered, and its not easy, but we want to be together, so its happenin.

Congratulation to you and Dan. Wish you all the happiness!

You got a sister? LOL

I think many people, especially in this age group, can't relocate due to kids, established careers, etc. But I think it's something you need to know you could do if it came down to it, BEFORE you even consider a long-distance relationship. Actually, that decision should be made before you even begin speaking with someone. You need to know "could I, if?" If the answer is no, for whatever reason, don't even bother.

Good answer and I think everyone does that. However, my question is would you or would you not relocate? What is more important to you.....love or established career?

Over the years, I have met some nice people online who do not live in my area and this seems to be an issue among others regarding relocating into your or the person’s town. I am not talking about dating or being unsure about the person. It implies that you know that you want to spend the rest of your life with that person that you met online and eventually spent quality time in person.

Would you relocate for someone? If so why?

If not, what is stopping you from relocating?
