Do you mind explaining it to me so you can blow my mind? In atoms electrons organize themselves in valence shells. Like an atom might have a shitload of electrons but they're organized in many rings around the center, or nucleus. Light gets produced when an electron in an outer shell jumps inward, toward the nucleus of the atom. And that gives off light. All light is is jumping electrons! I don't know. It might take a bowl or two before your mind is blown!

Did you know that all electricity is, is just extra electrons thrown into orbit around the nucleous of an atom. With the extra electron, the atom becomes wobbly and chucks an electron of to stabilize itself, and the next atom catches it and does the same thing, down a chain of atoms, which becomes electrical current. I was thinking about something similar the other day. Just lying in bed staring at a light bulb and all I could think was "Light is just electrons descending gradients and throwing off energy." And that blew my minddd.
