My kids...they can make me laugh, smile, cry and everything in between on a daily basis

Today...before, during and after my daughter had surgery.

Thank you for all of the prayers and well wishes that were sent to us. I know they helped me make it through. And yes, she is starting to get very tired of the cast, especially since she is normally a very active child.

My daughter came through surgey without any problems today until they tried to wake her. Then she was very agitated, which happens. She was given some morphine to calm down and once she settled a bit, she was much better. Now, she remains in this cast for at least 4 weeks and then with any luck her leg will be healed.

Once again, thank you all!

Amaretto Sour

A week before Christmas, my 7-year-old daughter broke her leg (her femur just above the knee). The doctors had to place 2 pins in it until it healed enough that they could be removed. It has been 4 weeks in a full leg cast. Tomorrow she will go back in for surgery to have the pins removed. Then, they will recast her for another 4 weeks. Please just say a prayer that there are no complications with the surgery or the recasting.

obviously my children, but there have been a select few in my life over the years that I seem to forgive over and over, but that is changing now. You can only take so much crap from someone before you say enough...
