I've learned that I do not do well with younger guys or even guys my age... I need a little bit older for the mental and emotional maturity. At the same time I will not date someone who is close to my fathers age.... I think 10-15 years older would be my MAX. I see myself being attracted to women a couple years older than myself as well, for the same reasons. |

It would be unique and fun at first I think but, then it's kind of an Oedipus complex going on. If an 18 year old takes a 61 year old home to Mother it's going to mess up a lot of family barbeques. I can definitely see your point. That would definitely be awkward. |

After the age of consent, or eighteen for some anyway, do you believe that people should not outside of their age range? And if so, what is that range in your opinion?
Most importantly, why do you believe the way you do? I think that when you are dealing with two people who are mature, there is no exact range, though of course some people don't want to date anyone too old or too young. |

I guess it depends. Visiting somewhere in Europe and a few places in Canada would be fun, but if they live in the states or somewhere it's actual feasible to drive, I might just meet them halfway.
I'd definitely go anywhere to meet them, if for some reason they couldn't leave but if the feeling is mutual then it would have to be discussed. |

I've seen a lot of the older ones but I don't actively watch anime anymore, I don't like to follow series'. I like all of Miyazaki's films though.

All it actually means is that you know what you find attractive and what youj don't....at least until a really hot big girl wants to get freaky.....then all those Ideas go right out the window. Is it wrong? No. Will it offend some people? yep....but, any one who is catagorically rejected will be upset....any of us would be. I do not wish to cause that pain, I know rejection hurts. Maybe I'm just being too idealogical about this. |

I try to think of myself not as an optimist or a pessimist but a realist. I realize that if I do not find someone particularly attractive, then the relationship will not proceed anywhere romantically. It's just a matter of personal preference, really. Obviously, if somebody who is not "my type" messages me seeking just that, how do I let them off easily, without seeming shallow? Do you believe that such a preference makes me shallow? By the way...want to come over for dinner? 
However hysterical that conversation would be, I politely decline. |
