the problem with arguing is that when it gets to this point both parties lose as they both are usually arguing a fallacy. as men once it is done we tend to forget it as the past where women remember it for a long time. as men we feel that once it is done it's done. we learn that women won't forget it and that we will pay for a long time to come. you need to agree in a relationship that it is ok to call a timeout and take a break before it turns into a full argument. if you want to argue go find one of the guys you hang with that way when it is done it is over

as life is a circle and we can find humor in all parts. the ability to laugh at all things is a gift we have been given. we may not laugh at the time it affects us as grief is overwhelming but as it subsides, laughter is part of the healing process.
