I myself prefer a open public space. Never at my place. There is too many games being played. Once they know where you live it can become a nightmare. After time talking then proceed. Not every man or every woman reacts the same with every person of the opposite sex. Some friendships take longer. Some are never going to be sexual for many reasons, none necessarily bad. Just not a good mix. The myth that every male is ready and willing and able no matter what else is going on is one of the worse things in anyone's mind. Just think of how one's emotions would be if while being propositioned one found out that their abode was on fire!

That is our culture speaking. Many women enjoy sex and have no issue with a well spoken invitation. The concept of game playing and holding out until some hoop is leaped through is as dishonest as misdirection. Open honest ,frank discussions may be difficult and uncomfortable at first. Being truthful to yourself is most important if one cannot be truthful to themselves then who?

First what is real love? More importantly what are your expectations? We humans have each of us a checklist of qualities some realistic others not.
If you make the effort then in time it will happen.
