Alaana, do you think the fact we are so ickied by the thought of family in the delivery room is because we are young? Do you wonder if our opinions will change when we come to that point in our lives?

Al though you never know in that moment you may want someone with you thats been there before...but i thinking about it now, i would definitly not want my father present, that seems uncomfy.

Anybody here wouldnt have a problem with there Dads being in the delivery room with them?

Alaana I feel kinda the same way you do.

i wouldnt want to be videotaped either.....in fact I dont even think i would want so many people in the room.

I dont know if i could have my parents or any family member with me in the room.
I would think if it was the second child I would let my first in the room with me, it would be a good experience for them.

You are being very informative, thanks.

All though I am sure you are used to a bunch of random questions being asked, it comes with being a parent ;)

WOW Barbiesbigsister!

you are one hardcore mommy! I am sorry to hear what caused your child and you this life long affliction.

So you had no drugs and you still didnt scream?

Thats pretty awesome...so is child birth isnt really chaotic and fast-paced.....

And here is another question for all the moms:
I know this is a silly question...but what are you thinking when the baby is being born? How are you emotionally? Or is it one blur of moments?

I am not talking about experience, i am talking about opinion on childbirth BASED on their experience with it and what they believe a woman goes through.

EXAMPLE:
My pops from what he saw believes childbirth is easier than woman want you to think because my mother and the mother of his 2 other kids had an easy delivery. Than again, my younger sister (the one i share a mom with) was a difficult birth.

NO NO theshotgunrule! You were talking about your experience......thats different than an opinion, and I am not judging men who have them on childbirth, I'm just asking all the ladies whats there opinion on men who have opinions on the subject of childbirth.

Another question: Are you offended by men who gain opnion on child birth from watching their gf/wives give birth?

I can not watch those birth scenes in movies where the women is screaming and her legs are in the air and a tiny human is being SLOWLY extracted from her not to mention the fact that there are so many people around her. It seriously gives me an anxiety/panic attack watching them, not to mention extremely uncomfortable. hehe

BUT
Those are scenes in a movie, so my question is:

What was your actual experience with child birth like?
Whether you were a coach, the mom, or the person delivering the baby?

Well, perhaps he is just fascinated by the whole "second skin" thing of panty-hose. When they are that young they dont really see it as womens clothing so much as a...um..."interesting grown device"?
hehe.

I guess i will answer this for my Pops.
One of his hardest moments with me is when he and I started to realize I have the same personality as my Mom (AKA his ex wife)
They had a pretty nasty marriage for the few months it lasted.
They were too different personality wise.
My mom is quiet, into intellectual things, and easily annoyed, as am I.
My dad however is the complete opposite, and ever since my personality shifted from like his to my mom, our relationship has been like a frolic through eggshells.

Also when he realized he couldnt be my friend anymore after i turned 15, after an innocent incedent with boys he decided he needs to be more "parent-ish".

Ya know Lulu, your post got me thinking about kids.
And ya know what else?

I think I am just going to skip that all and see if i can legally adopt a post grad college student.........

The most they can do is run me into the poor house....

hehe
